Last week I had the honor of photographing the Dresden Dolls show in Lexington last week. It's been four years since I've been able to see a Dresden Dolls show and they put on an AMAZING performance and (since it's late in the year) this has topped my concerts for 2010.

Alice in Wonderland is a great story and made into so many movies. Here are a couple of those films I've found on Youtube. A few years ago I saw screenshots from a 1923 Disney version, which is what my avatar here is from. If you've known me for awhile you'd know how big of a Cursive fan I am. Frontman Tim Kasher has struck out on his own and released "The Game of Monogamy" on Saddle Creek. I had the honor of photographing his show at the Summit and his Live at Electraplay studio session.

1:59 pm - Theatre Geek Time

The current Marriott on 38 E. Gay St here in Columbus used to be a Keith's Orpheum Theatre (originally B.F. Keith's Entertainment Center built in 1906) where acts such as Will Rogers and the Marx Brothers would perform their vaudeville acts.
The site was closed and demolished in 1926. The performance house was reopened on 34 W. Broad as the Keith Albee Palace and then Radio Keith Orpheum, or RKO, in 1929 as it would remain until closure in 1975. Since 1989 the former movie theater has been the CAPA's Palace Theatre.

1. A couple weekends ago I photographed my friend Mo's wedding! It was a very nice ceremony by a Buddhist monk up at Squire's Castle near Cleveland. Here are a few shots from Melissa and Rob's day.

2. Last week I shot my buddy's band Tin Armor opening up for Best Coast and Male Bonding.

If you get the chance to check out Tin Armor, definitely do so! They describe themselves as, "Their honest style of rock and roll is approachable without being boring and thought provoking without being pedantic." Also, they're just kind of awesome.

3. School's started up again and I'm taking a full load this quarter, since I'm kind of desperate to be done, so it should be busy all around. So close! I'm also interning at the Mac Worthington Art Gallery which has so far been pretty interesting! It hosts art by Mac himself and features different artists every month. I haven't shown there yet though. :)

4. Also, if you're in Columbus, check out this week's Other Paper! I have a photo from the Van Dyke Parks show last week at the Wex. Page 21!

Scattered updates, none really relating to another but things I wanted to post. :)
There, now I can turn off the internet for another month.

For the first two weeks of August I went on a roadtrip to and from Austin, Texas for a wedding. On the way we spent time in Mammoth Cave Park, Louisville, Memphis, Little Rock and Dallas and spent a couple days in New Orleans on the way back.

Tonight I visited Nida's Thai on High for the first time and had probably the best tofu of my life. Rama Jum Sin Steamed tofu over spinach and brocoli, dressing with peanut sauce and sesame seeds. Served with white rice.

I'm going to make two posts tonight before I go pass out. First, I've been biking up the Olentangy Bike Trail, a 13 mile path that goes up into Worthington and I took my camera out one afternoon! It's always beautiful out and I can barely guess that I'm in Columbus! ___ and some random pictures of down town
